Quite simply I bake and make your fresh to order cakes from my own home in Kirkintilloch. I am a fully insured and registered business with up to date food hygiene and food allergen certificates. Every cake that leaves my kitchen is triple checked by me, my partner and my son Caelan who gives the final seal of approval!

All bookings and correspondence are done through my website, link to contact but for more elaborate designs or wedding cake bookings, an appointment can be arranged to discuss over the telephone.
About Me
Hello, I am Zhara and this is “Cakes by Zhara”
I am a self taught baker and cake decorator who found my passion back in 2015 when I did my nephews first birthday cake. I realised I really enjoyed working with fondant, modelling and creating the finished cake. (I could not bake at this point!)
After over 10 years in dentistry taking some evening classes and changing jobs I was eventually baking and making the cakes myself! My evenings and weekends were full of making cakes for friends and family.
In 2019 I started taking orders for cakes working in the evenings and into the early hours and in 2021 this became my only job to work around my son.
Fast forward and “Cakes by Zhara” is still going strong, still up at all hours in the kitchen and my son is now quality control (I love his little comments!) and we’ve added my daughter Grace into the mix who came along in March 2023.
I couldn’t do it all without my partner Callum who many of you meet on collections and deliveries!
